It was an honor speaking on behalf of the United War Veterans Council, Inc. at a WWI commemoration in memory of those who gave their lives fighting in Flanders Fields. This year is the centennial of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles which officially ended the Great War. It gives new meaning when I tell the story about my newly found Great Great Uncle Charles Otto who fought on this battlefield and in northern France.
