In celebration of Women’s History Month, the UWVC is proud to recognize Marine Corps veteran Bonita Rodriguez as our 2020 Veterans Vanguard award recipient for Women’s Leadership.
This award is given to veterans in our community who have carried on the legacy of their predecessors while leading the way for their peers and future generations. Bonita has been active with Student Veterans of America (SVA) for a number of years, and was recently recognized as its 2020 Student Veteran of the Year for her work in helping fellow veterans strive and thrive on campus. She currently works at NBC Universal.
Due to the public health situation, we must present this award “virtually” for now, but we are planning on honoring Bonita in person (and presenting her with the physical award) later this year. In the meantime, please join us in congratulating her on her achievements!
