James Devary served 4 years with 1-505 Parachute Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division. He was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom as an Infantry Squad Leader in 2002. He served 4 years in the New York National Guard 1-69th Infantry Unit, the “Fighting Irish.” Mr. DeVary was activated and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as Infantry Squad leader 2004-2005. He left the military as a Staff Sergeant.
