James DeVary served 4 years with 1-505 Parachute Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division. He was deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom as an Infantry Squad Leader in 2002.
He served 4 years with the New York National Guard’s 69th Infantry Regiment, the “Fighting Irish”.
From 2004-2005, Mr. DeVary was activated and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as Infantry Squad leader. He left the military as a Staff Sergeant.
Since 2006, he has worked in finance as a wealth manager. In addition to his role as a board member and former Treasurer of the UWVC, Mr. DeVary is also a member of Team RWB, a guide for the Freedom Team, and an Advisory Board member for Pace University’s Lubin School of Business.
Mr. DeVary lives in Arizona with his wife and children.
