Mary Westmoreland is a decorated combat veteran and native New Yorker, serving in both the US Coast Guard and US Army. In 2008, Mary retired in the rank of Colonel after over 31 years of service. She currently serves as the Department of Defense Employer Support to Guard and Reserve NYC Area Chair, as well as the New York State Vice Chair for the Department of Defense ESGR Program. Mary’s military career encompasses command positions and operational and higher staff levels with the Military Police Corps and higher headquarters levels, as an Adjutant General Corps officer in Human Resources Operations and Policy, and as the Systems Integration Officer. She has held various senior leadership positions as Executive Officer and Director at the HQ Dept of the Army. Mary has also served at the Pentagon as Executive Director of Global Services and Executive Officer to the Chief of Army Reserve immediately after 9/11 as well as Deputy Director of Reserve Component Policy and Mobilization for Headquarters, Department of the Army. She is a graduate of the U.S Army War College.
