Lieutenant Colonel Peter Griesch was born and raised on Long Island, NY. He is a 1997 graduate of the State University of New York at Albany, and was commissioned a second lieutenant that same year. Upon receiving his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law in 2000, he entered active duty. His duty assignments have included platoon commander, Company A, 6th Communications Battalion, prosecutor, defense counsel, appellate counsel, and military judge. After receiving a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center, he left active duty and entered the civilian practice of law, and soon after joined the Marine Corps Reserve, serving as the Reserve Regional Defense Counsel - East, and his area of responsibility included Camp Lejeune, Cherry Point, and Parris Island.
