Vietnam Veterans Weekend 2025
March 28 - 29 • 50th Anniversary of the End of the Vietnam War.
This year, to mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War, the United War Veterans Council (UWVC) is proud to help present multiple activities to honor and serve our Vietnam Veterans.
In addition to our full slate of events on Saturday, March 29, in Lower Manhattan, we are co-promoting programming offered in by Black Veterans for Social Justice and the New York State Department of Veterans Services on Friday, March 28, in Brooklyn.

Name Reading: The Fallen
Time: 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Location: Fraunces Tavern • 54 Pearl Street
Reading of the names of the over 1,700 New Yorkers lost in service during the Vietnam War.
Flag Raising & Procession
Time: 11:00 - 11:45 AM
Location: Evacuation Day Plaza / Wall Street Bull
Note: Adjacent to 26 Broadway
Ceremonial raising of colors, followed by a march to Vietnam Veterans Plaza (0.4 miles). The route of the procession will pass 1 Whitehall Street, where generations of service members enlisted or were inducted into the military.
Wreath Laying Ceremony
Time: 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Location: Vietnam Veterans Plaza • 55 Water Street
Including presentation of the Patrick L. Gualtieri Service to Vietnam Veterans Award.
Reunion & Lunch
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
Location: Fraunces Tavern • 54 Pearl Street
Light refreshments for veteran attendees.
