Dear friends:
As you may be aware, the New York City Marathon has been cancelled by its organizers. Although the NYC Veterans Day Parade is also a major public event that takes place in November, our event is significantly different in both purpose and structure.
We continue to monitor the public health situation, and are developing a wide range of contingencies to ensure that we have as many options as possible going forward. Our goal is to ensure that New Yorkers will have the opportunity to collectively honor America’s veterans on November 11 in a safe yet meaningful way.
As our veterans learned in the military – and as our parade team has learned over the years: Improvise, Adapt, Overcome!
