The United War Veterans Council would like to welcome Kevin Wensing to our Advisory Council.
Kevin has been a long time supporter of the UWVC and he has acted as our liaison to military leadership in Washington DC. Kevin’s leadership and experience are a welcome addition to our team.
Kevin Wensing, Captain, US Navy (Ret), is a leader in the national security, veterans, technology and communications fields and has served as a senior advisor to a variety of organizations and companies following a career of service to America.
As a Naval Officer he was assigned to posts around the world supporting combat operations, diplomacy, military exercises and humanitarian relief efforts. Wensing qualified as a Surface Warfare Officer, served as a Public Affairs Officer and was Naval Aide to three Flag Officers. He also served as a senior advisor to the Secretary of the Navy and Deputy Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon (SES) involved in a wide spectrum of defense, international security, budgetary, program and personnel issues.
Since leaving government he served as Vice President of the USO launching the Warrior Games, and as the first director of the Gary Sinise Foundation, advancing vital initiatives to benefit the men and women of America’s Armed Forces and their families. He has also played a leadership role in the Department of Defense National Vietnam War Commemoration and is currently a senior advisor to various enterprises in technology, health, management, financial sectors and family offices.
Wensing is a graduate of Quincy University, U.S. Navy Officer Candidate School and U.S. Naval War College. He has been recognized for exceptional service by the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Navy and various military commands, Veterans organizations and The National Press Club. He has served as Chair of FCA Americas, The Board of Overseers of the USS CONSTITUTION Museum and leadership roles with the Navy League of the United States, United States Tennis Association and other organizations.
He has also had an advisory role in several Hollywood films, including: Pearl Harbor, Wind Talkers, Jurassic Park 3 and Executive Decision.
