The UWVC is proud to partner with VVA Chapter 126, Friends of the Vietnam Veterans Plaza, NYC Department of Veterans’ Services and Wounded Warrior Project to present a series of activities to mark Vietnam Veterans Day in New York City.
Veterans of all eras and supporters are invited to join us, in the spirit of the motto of Vietnam Veterans of America: “Never Again will One Generation of Veterans Abandon Another.”

Reading of the Names of the Fallen

Vietnam Veterans Plaza @ 55 Water Street – Amphitheater
Ceremonial reading of the names of the over 1,700 New Yorkers who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
(Registration to read names is now closed; we welcome all who wish to attend in support!)

Retracing the steps of the 1985 Welcome Home Parade for Vietnam Veterans, from Cadman Plaza, across the Brooklyn Bridge, down the Canyon of Heroes to Vietnam Veterans Plaza.

Our annual ceremony honoring those who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War. Featuring military honors, remarks and reflections, presentation of proclamations, music from the Vietnam War era and presentation of the Patrick L. Gualtieri Service to Vietnam Veterans Award.
Veteran Resource Fair & Reunion
1:00pm – 3:00pm
Stone Street at Coenties Alley
Featuring exhibitors offering services to veterans of all eras. Lunch will be provided by the Dubliner for veteran attendees and their guests.
