As we all continue to adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic, the UWVC is pleased to share a special opportunity to support those in need and diligently working on the frontline.
This is not a fundraiser, it is simply a way for our partner companies and organizations to help provide vital protective gear to our healthcare professionals and first responders.
UWVC partner, Pen Company of America, a family and veteran owned business since 1927; has recently pivoted their production to creating clear plastic face shields in their Cranford NJ factory in support of COVID-19 frontline workers.
The face shields are manufactured with high-grade plastic and are approved to be worn by healthcare workers treating covid-19 patients. These face shields are easily cleaned with a bleach wipe, making them reusable, if needed. To meet the high demand, Pen Company of America is currently producing 50,000 of these face shields per week.
American Pen Company is extending an opportunity for UWVC and our partners to stand shoulder to shoulder with them in this effort to support our heroes on the home front.
By using the special UWVC promo code (“UWVC”), individuals, companies, and organizations can purchase and donate face shields at a price usually reserved for larger bulk orders. By pooling our resources, we can help Pen Company of America keep production and fulfillment costs down and quickly deliver more face shields to those who need them.
Those who purchase face shields using the special UWVC promo code will be able to purchase 10 and 50 packs of face shields at a 20% discount. Orders are to be a minimum of 10 per customer. The UWVC promo code may also be used to purchase other (generic) products available on the Pen Company of America’s website.
100% of these funds will go towards the production and shipping of the face shields. Pen Company of America handles all order flow and facilitates shipping. Face shields can be shipped wherever the purchasers wish, including healthcare or frontline providers with whom you have an existing relationship. In cases where your company would like to donate face shields to frontline workers at city, state or federal agencies (i.e. NYPD, FDNY, Port Authority, military etc.); the UWVC will serve as a connector to these agencies. The option to add a custom note, to be included in your delivery is available upon checkout.

They have been the official pen provider for the UWVC since 2017, donating thousands of pens to us in support of our events, to include the annual New York City Veterans Day Parade.
